I am originally from Lafayette, Indiana. I moved to Michigan last May to work as a Design Engineer for Joseph Jeup, a high-end designer furniture manufacturer known for exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Starting in elementary school, I grew up building furniture with my dad. Through those early experiences, I developed a deep connection to wood and a passion for creating. What began as simple projects gradually evolved into a deeper curiosity about how things are made.

That curiosity led me to Purdue University, where I studied Virtual Product Integration and Building Information Modeling, along with a minor in Wood Products Manufacturing Technology. My education focused on how CAD can be applied across different manufacturing processes like CNC routing, 3D printing, and laser cutting. These tools allow me to take an idea and actually build it with a level of precision that wouldn’t really be possible otherwise.
The combination of wood products and digital manufacturing has opened up a different way for me to think about what I can make. Using CAM, I can program a CNC router to cut custom shapes with a level of accuracy and repeatability that would be difficult to achieve by hand. It’s a method often used in furniture manufacturing, where parts need to be produced quickly and consistently, but I’ve found it also creates opportunities to explore more complex and unconventional forms (like a T-Rex).

Recently, I added a 4' x 4' CNC router to my garage workshop. Having that tool in my own space has changed how I approach projects. It’s given me the ability to experiment with my ideas more freely. testing ideas, adjusting designs, and seeing what works in a much more hands-on way.
I enjoy working at the intersection of engineering and art, where something can be both technically challenging and visually engaging. For me, the goal isn’t just to use these tools for efficiency, but to push what I can create with them. My work is driven by a desire to keep learning, keep evolving, and find new ways to bring ideas to life.
